@SB9, NYU does not have a rolling admission policy anymore. It used to be the same for previous years, but they have changed it now, and all applications are reviewed together at one shot. This is FYI.
Best.

additionally, they review applications by country, comparing people with a similar background.

CONGRATS!!! One question, which country are you from?
Posted Jan 31, 2013 10:12
Are you a domestic student? I think they are launching decisions for domiestic TAX LLM. I have checked last year thread and it seems NYU start the answer for international student by mid March.
Posted Jan 31, 2013 12:31
I am domestic tax llm. I was surprised also because they told me they send admission decisions around March.

Congrats!!!

I just applied to NYU part time...top 20% from tier 2 school. I have a CPA and 2 yrs work experience as an auditor from a big 4. I have 3 A's in Fed Income, Partnership, and Tax policy. I also had summer internship with a U.S. Attorney's Office in the Tax Division. Any thoughts as to whether I am a strong candidate for NYU?
Posted Feb 14, 2013 04:52
It seems that they begin to release decisions for International applicants around 10th March.... At least they did it last year.
I'm a late applicant and my status just turn to Complete and Under Review yesterday...Though my Current Status Date is 2/6/2013
I think there will be at least a month before I can get a decision from NYU...

Hi applicants,
I received an offer from Berkeley but I really want to hear from NYU before Berkeley's deadline for accepting the admission offer. So I wrote an email to NYU asking to an early decision; I am waiting for their answer.
Have someone did something similar? Or do you know someone that did this in the past? What NYU answered?
Thanks!!

I did it the other way around and asked from an extension from Berkeley (since that was the recommendation I received from HLS earlier). Let's see what they say!
Posted Feb 19, 2013 14:15
Great! Please Jos keep us posted of Berkeley's answer; I'll do the same with NYU's.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Will do!

Hey Guys!
Checking previous years thread, it seems that the first to hear from NYU are the lucky ones who get a scholarship... for these the decisions come from late feb, early March..
DId anyone apply for the HAUSER GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP?

I applied to the LLM in NYC and the NYU@NUS program (preference to NYC). I just received my admission for NYU@NUS but they told me that if I decline admission to that program, I am accepted to the NYC academic year program. I applied to the Information and Competition LLM.
"Dear ____,
Congratulations once again on your admission to the New York University School of Law and National University of Singapore Dual Degree Program!
In your application, you indicated an interest in studying for a masters degree in both locations, with a preference for one of our programs in New York. On the basis of our joint review process, we are pleased to offer you admission as a candidate for the LL.M. degree in both New York and Singapore. Unless you accept our offer for study in Singapore beforehand, you will receive an official admission offer later in the spring to the masters program in New York to which you applied, along with information on how to accept that offer."
Goo luck to everyone!

Congrats AUOP4!! And thank you for the important information.
I think your thread, especially the words "later in the spring", means that NYU did not begin to send their admissions for academic LL.M. program at New York City yet.
