If NYU's planning on sending the rest of the decisions in the upcoming 6 working days, it means we still have 6 full days of hope (+ a nice relaxing weekend). I wish you all peace. Stress is bad for the skin ;)
(I sent in my application on the last minute so my decision won't come early. But I'll keep you posted...)
Do you really think that they will still sending admission's emails next week? Seriously? do you think that we still have a chance?
Of course! Someone posted earlier a reply from the Admissions Director, who said that they're trying to send out everything before next Friday. Which means it could even take longer.
Let's just visualize how their office would operate. The juries are in session; they hand out decisions 1 by 1 to the office. I'd say for every single decision the assistants will have to
1- prepare an email notification
2- prepare online interface at the admitted students page
3- prepare the mail package
4- double/triple check everything cos nothing can go wrong for our nerves' sake! :P
--->The whole process can take some time, so it can't be done within a week... given that how many are applying in total? 2000 people at least from all over the world?
Now if an application is definitely admissible, and potentially qualify for a scholarship, if i were the jury i'd set that aside and wait a bit to look at the rest of the applications in order to compare. So it's not necessarily bad news if the decision comes out late. It could possibly be the contrary.
So let's keep the faith and relax. Hey it's Friday!
(I was a little bored reading cartel judgments...)
