I was just wondering if anyone has an idea whether the best NY Law Firms (Wachtell Lipton, Cravath, Sullivan Cromwell, Davis Polk, Skadden etc.) are at all enticed by students with an LLM in Corporate Law from NYU? For a job in the NY office...

I have a friend (also from Poland) who did the Corporation Law LL.M. at NYU and managed to secure a job in the NY Office of a top law firm (in structured finance). Please note, however, that two years ago the LL.M. job market looked much different than it does today. I was also admitted to NYU's full time Corporation Law program in NYC but I think I will rather choose University of Chicago where I also got the offer. Or maybe Columbia if I get admitted - still waiting for admission correspondence from them...

Great link. Indeed, for Job Prospects no reason to choose any place than NYU, except perhaps Harvard and maybe Columbia. NYU beats all others easily.
