Hey guys I have been placed on the waiting list :(
Do you think there is still hope to be accepted?
Do you know how many students remain on the wait list?
Is there a ranking between the students on that list? and could we be aware of it?
Thank you for the helpful advice
And congrats to all of you who received positive responses!
I am on the waitlist too, they said they don't have any specific rankings but I really do not believe that.
I think that there's still hope given that many applicants are waiting on other universities that are better ranked with similar programs, like Upenn or NYU.

Yes I asked them the same question, and had the same answer. I do not believe it too, but they say they can't share any information of that kind with us
Well let's hope that, between those who have been admitted to several Northwestern programs and those who are awaiting better ranked universities' answers, that some places will become available for us!
Do you know how many students are on the waitlist? 30? 50? 100? 200?

I don't know how many of us are on the waitlist but I do know that this program is really small. I've read that this program does not have more than 40 - 45 students and maybe those numbers are a little bit high.

Hi Everybody!
I noticed that the universities started to send the decisions. Any chance for someone accept another offer instead Northwestern?
Best and good luck for all!

Has anyone from the waitlisted schedule an interview this or next week?
Posted Mar 13, 2015 14:46
For those who are waitlisted, I just declined my offer in the LLM-K. I was also accepted in the General LLM, but I think a bit more before making my decision.

Hey! Congratualtions! 20K is more than the difference between the regular LLM and the LLM-K.

Hi everyone, I got admitted into the General llm too and just last night, I received a 20k fellowship. Is that a really good deal? I have offers from other schools but I am still waiting for their scholarship decisions.
Posted Mar 17, 2015 02:28
Congrats to everyone who got awarded!! I received a fellowship award of 5K and I am quiet disappointed as my need was the same was very high, can anyone please advice on where else I might be able to apply too, to receive more scholarship?
Posted Mar 17, 2015 03:25
Congrats on those who got in especially if you got a scholarship. My partner didn't get one though they really needed one. So if they are going to pay full price, better to go to a higher rated school as all the top schools cost about the same.
Having said that, even with a 20k scholarship, I would think very deeply about going to Northwestern. It is about 10% more expensive than Stanford and nowhere near as good. I think it and Cornell are vastly overpriced. I would take UT Austin over Northwestern as it starts almost 20k cheaper to begin with and people in Texas are more friendly than Chicago. Not to mention Austin is just a great town and in a beautiful area of Texas.
Where Northwestern would make more sense, if you can afford it, is their 2 year accelerated JD. That would be much better than getting an LLM from them.
By NW giving a 20k scholarship, it actually brings the price down to about where it should be. I would ask for more to be honest.
