It's been more than 8 weeks since my application status turned to complete on Nov. 13 and I haven't got the decision from Northwestern. I had a phone interview on Dec. 20. Does it slow down the application process ? I asked the interview conductor during our discussion when the final decision would be made after the interview and got informed that it typically took two weeks after the interview. It's been almost a month after the interview and the waiting is really killing me. Should I contact them and ask about my application status ?
Thanks for your advice in advance.

If the time they give you already passed, you should contact them right away!
Im already admitted into the LLMK program, and, let me say that Northwestern faculty staff is great, so you dont have nothing to worry about.
Good luck!

Are the decisions made on a rolling basis? I seem to recall the LLM deadline to apply was on January 31, 2008. Thanks!
Posted Feb 05, 2008 01:00
i think the deadline is 2/1 for LLM only and 1/14 for LLM/Kellogg program.
Has anyone done the interview before being admitted? it is optional and I applied for an off-campus interview but never heard from them yet.

Yes I've had a phone interview. I was able to schedule it with the admission office.

dear Counsel,
I am an applicant for NU LLMK program.
And I've just got a phone interview invitation yesterday.
I am wondering should I or should I not accept it.
Would the interview be an advantage of my application while NU reviewing my application?
Besides, can you give me some hints on how to prepare for the phone interview?
Thank you for your advises and time.

Take the interview; if you dont take it, they will for sure reject you, since you received a direct invitation.
The interview is a chance to sell your self to the admissions committee: they are great and the main purpose of the interview is to let them know you better.
You dont have to worry about anything, be your self and you will be fine, be honest, and show confidence.
With whom you will have the interview? When is the interview?
Tell me about your background.

Hello Counsel,
Thanks for your advises!
Ive scheduled for the phone interview.
But I cant tell who will be interviewing me from the website.
As for my background
I got LL.B. and LL.M. degrees in my home country.
I am now an associate attorney in a major law firm in my home country.
And I was a law clerk of the Supreme Court for two years.

I got in at the KLLM, I have applied to other top 10 schools, this program is a must for the ones oriented to business, I will not hesitate and take the acceptance.
The extra value of the Kellog certificate is really a push for jobs opportunities. And i have heard that the community at NU is one of the finest of the states.
For the ones waiting the letter:
I have applied just on the deadline january 3th, I got the email last monday 11... hope it helps
