My Chances? Please help !

Hello,
I am in my 3rd year of a US JD program. Here are my stats:

Undergrad - State school 3.1 GPA (Took LSAT in a hurry - 149, but enough to get into my state law school)
Masters - State school 3.4 GPA
Law - Same State school 3.4 GPA (Top 15% of Class, Law Review Managing Editor with one note, 2 years clerking expereince (part-time) at a law firm, one semester federal judge externship, 6 years work experience before law school and after Masters)

Want to teach for a few years, hence would like to get an LLM. But the market is fierce and my state school degrees won't get me too far outside of my area. So, I am only looking at top LLM programs. Here is the list:

Harvard, Yale, UPenn, Columbia, Cornell, Stanford, Berkely, UCLA, Northwestern, NYU, Chicago, Virginia.

Am I dreaming too big?

I can't do anything to change where I went to school. I can't change anything about the fact that I got a very low score on my LSAT. But I hope I proved that I could be a good law student by doing very well on my grades and being on the Law Review. Is this enough? What can I do to enhance my application? Can I apply for admission into next year, or should I wait a couple of years after I get my JD?

Please help.

John

Its on par with Ox-bridge! Im applying to the top schools cause I know they have a high intake of grads from my school.

YOU SHOULD APPLY, and see how it goes!

Same like GlasgowLaw, I would encourage you to apply. I have been hesistent but have convinced myself that I will not know the answer unless I give it a try. The hassle wil be worthwhile (though the application fee might hurt your wallet a little).

Go for it!

I think more than anything else your work-ex might help a lot. and the fact that you want to teach later... most law schools want that.
