I've applied for UMich LL.M Program and my application went complete on December, 18th.

According to the last posts they have already started sending their decisions and Im worried that I havent received any news....

Do you think is time to start losing my hopes? I've received offers from Duke and UVa and If I havent been accepted by UMich I'll probably accept UVa's offer.

But to be honest Im quite worried if UVa is as renowned as UMich. Im afraid to spend all my savings in this course and later on have to explain my choices...

Hola fcf, I do believe that the odds are still on your side. Michigan has not yet finished sending all of their admissions. I assume the latter on the fact that I still have no access to a network of admitted students. If they were done with the admission process I would have access now to such network; mainly to start analyzing housing options.
I saw in your profile that you already have been admitted in UVA and Duke, my advice to you if you are facing a deadline from UVA or Duke is to speak with Mr. Tang or Mrs. Dora-Maria. They will be more than willing to assist you with such deadlines. I am very confident that you are going to be admitted into UMich.
I received my offer of admission, along with all of the supporting letters and brochures, on mid February; mainly because I sent my application materials before October 15. As of yet, I am still waiting for the Gotius Fellowship decision (crossing my fingers to receive some sort of financial aid).
I have to tell you that one of the reasons why I wanted to become a Wolverine is because of the broad option of subjects that you can choose from along with the high caliber of its faculty members, not to mention the fierce loyalty of its alumni´s network over the past 150 years.

I was asking for a decision by mid March, but received nothing yet (they only promised to 'try' and have a decision by mid March)

It seems that this was the deadline for some other applicants. As the March 15 deadline has just passed, they should be sending more offers soon.

I still didn't hear from Michigan... although I am pretty settled on Berkeley already, so only a financial aid offer will make me rethink Berkeley.

Who has accepted Michigan's offer, or is really considering going there this fall? We could start some group of next year's class.

Just got an e-mail from UMich notifying me that I was wait-listed. Probably will withdraw and accept Berkeley's offer.

I'm also from Brazil as I think that both schools are equally renowned here. Truth is that most people only know Harvard, Yale and maybe Columbia, and specialized people know the good schools in each area (and thus know that UVA is a great school). If I were you, I would choose UVA.. waiting for for UMich woulnt even be an option...

Thank you very much for your comments mdm31, they are really helpful! Actually I have already paid my seat deposits at UVA, and I was just waiting for Umich decision to figure out what to do.

I'll probably follow your suggestion and start taking the first steps to my move to Charlottesville. :)
