It's funny. I did not think that top schools actually waive application fees. However, I only found about CRS very late, so I did not receive any waivers :-(.

Ya I had no idea any of the T14 schools gave waivers. I was lucky enough to get one from UMich and NW.

Hey! Why did you eventually turn down Chicago's offer and went to Michigan?

I applied too. The lady in charge of the admissions whom, in my opinion, should be nominated for the nicest person of the year award told me that admission result should start to come out around late March. Is there any other applicant from Italy on these shores?
Should I be admitted, I would only be able to take up a place if granted a huge scholarship. Also, I have already been admitted to Cambridge, so choosing between the two could really be difficult.

I applied for LL.M. at UMich on 27 Jan. UMich requested my application report from LSAC on 28 Jan and my report was printed on the next day later. However, I haven't received any notification email from UMich yet. Is there anyone being in the same situation as mine? Should I receive any email from the admission team?

I doubt my advice will be of any help to you, but here it is anyways. I received an email from Ms. Fang Tan confirming that my application was complete, but I did not apply through LSAC. Chances are that they only contact those who don't, just to confirm the receipt of all the application materials. Anyways, I feel like there is nothing preventing you from calling or emailing them on the matter. I had to contact them a number of times in order to have some of my doubts answered, and they have always been extremely helpful.

Thank you for your reply, 924CC. Your advice is very helpful to me. By the way, I have just asked my colleague who also applied for UMich and he received the confirmation email as you did; thus, there are some mistakes on my application. Perhaps, I should send an email to the admission team for tracking the process.

I can tell you for sure that you receive an application complete email from them. I received one. Why don't you just give them a call? They are very helpful.

Hi guys, I received the admission letter from Dora-Maria this week that I have been admitted to the 2013-14 Michigan LLM Program. Is there anybody who also received the admission letter? Probably I will go to Michigan this August.

Hey, congratulations! Can I ask you when you applied? Did you, by any chance, use LSAC? My application was only completed some days ago, so I guess I will have to wait a bit longer. Also and, please, feel free to use private messages to respond to such a question any news regarding financial aid? Thank you!

I am reasonably sure I will go to Cambridge, but Michigan still sounds extremely interesting to me. Not many universities concern themselves with Int'l refugee law to such a degree.

I have asked them to expedite a decision on my application, and they said that by mid March I should receive a decision. I hope it's going to be soon :-)
