LSAC Transcript Process Time

Literati

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if some one you could tell me how long it takes for transcripts to be processed at LSAC? Some context: I have three transcripts to submit, one was processed within three days last week, the other one is still not processed after one week even though my postal tracking told me that it arrived and the last one is not tracked as my university sent it but it should have arrived this week. When is the time to worry? Mailing from my home country takes quite some time (the first transcript took three weeks) so there is not much time left.

Thank you!

It took 2 days for my transcript as well. You should drop an email and get a clarification.

Hi! I'm in the exact same situation. Do you have any news about your other mails ? My first transcript is processed since November 11, and the others are still not processed, even though they arrived in the US around November 15th.
Glad to here from you if you have any info!

Hey ClaDa, no, still no update unfortunately. I called LSAC and they said the normal processing time at the moment is between 10 and 14 business days (so 2-3 weeks) as they have so much material, so there is still time. Best of luck to you!

EDIT: my transcripts were processed now, I got the notification in the middle of December.

Hello! I am looking for help and I am really confused.

The status of my application is "Transmitted" (date: 7 December). However, it is stated that I have 0 transcripts on file and 0 LoR assigned to that school. When I click on "Transcripts" it says "0 processed, 1 not processed". The situation is similar with the LoR  - "0 received, 2 outstanding".  In the Law School Report section the status is "The law school has not requested your report." However, just below there is a link "View Report Information". When I click on it it opens a page containing "Incomplete Reports" where again it is stated that the LoRs are missing, the transcript is missing, and that "ITAES Service is required."

What does this mean? Do I have to undertake any active actions or the LSAC has just not yet proceesed my documents? Please, help. Thank you!

Dear malkakotka,

as I understand it, the transmission of the application (i.e. the application form, personal statement etc) is separate from the transcripts and the LORs. This means you can submit the application before the report is ready (esp. to meet deadlines). But you will of course need the full report eventually. Your transcripts have to be sent from the institution to LSAC, then they get processed. You will only get notified of the arrival of the transcript (unless you have tracking) once it is processed by LSAC. Then, they will be sent to AACRAO for an evaluation if you booked the ITAES service. This service is required by some schools which might be the reason why you got the notification. Research the schools you have applied to to clarify that. Regarding LORs, you have to assign the LORs that LSAC received yourself. It seems like you might have forgotten to do that? If you are ever unsure about something, I can recommend calling LSAC directly :)

Just an fyi, I emailed Duke, Berkeley, U Chicago, U Penn, Northwestern, Cornell and NYU about the fact that one of my transcripts had not yet been reviewed by AACRAO and if this would hurt my application.

The general reply seemed to be that if you applied within the deadline it would be fine, as long as the completed report is sent to the schools by mid january.
