LSAC Help

Hi guys,

I am really late in the application process and I am just figuring out the logistics. I would really appreciate a little help on the following:

1. Is there any way I can edit the information I have provided for my secondary school information after I have sent out my transcript request form? I have entered the year of the secondary school degree incorrectly?

2. I am using the DAS and ITAES services from LSAC and already spent a bomb on it. Do I still need to buy Law School Reports for each college I apply to? Or will they provide the colleges my credentials even if I don't sign up for the law school reports?

1. Send LSAC an e-mail and they will change it.

2. The DAS and ITAES services are for LSAC to receive your transcripts and evaluate them. After they do that and you apply to specific law school, you pay for that law school report (you can't avoid paying that, or they will not send your documents).

Hi, I hope someone can help me.

1) One of my recommenders lives in U.S. while I am currently in Italy.

Since LSAC requires "to print the recommender forms to give to your recommender to ensure quick matching and routing at LSAC. Letters received without an accompanying form or without the recommender's signature will be returned to the recommender."

My question is: how can I personally provide my recommender the form if I am supposed to sign the 1st part? Can I sign it, scan it and then send it to him via email?

2) Can I send a few recommendation letters in one single envelope? Can these letters belong to different recommenders?

1) Yes, you can print it, sign it , scan it and then email it for your recomender to print it and attach it to its letter. I did this and had no problem with LSAC.

2) Again, yes, you can. I sent two letters from two different recommenders on a single big envelope, but each letter must be enclosed on its own envelope and signed by the recommender across the flap.

I hope this helps.

It helped a lot. Thanks.

Did you have all these letters transcripted right?

Did you enclose each letter and form in the official envelope of the institution your reccomenders belong respectively? then you had each one signed I guess.

Sorry, I just want to make everything super clear. I couldn't find all these details on the lsac website.

Hi,

I'm glad I could help, now regarding your new questions:

I don't know what you mean by transcripted. If you mean translated there was no need, since they were all written in English.

Each letter was enclosed in the official envelope of each of my recommenders' institutions, and each envelope was then signed by each recomender (the respective LSAC form was signed by each recommender and enclosed on each envelope).

I then took the envelopes and I put them all into a single bigger envelope which I then sent to LSAC via courier.

It makes no sense to send each letter separetly if you can just send them all together, paying the courier just once.

The letters were all processed very fast and without any incident by LSAC.

Sorry I meant processed. My bad.

Why did you make your recommender sign the form? I thought the applicant is supposed to sign the 1st part of the form while the recommender should complete the 2nd part of the form and sign his own letter.

You are right, the recommenders are not required to sign the form, they just have to complete the second part and sign the letter, regardless i asked them to sign it anyway just in case.
