LLM IP and LSAC

Hello everyone
I have been admitted to the LLM Intellectual property but did not receive yet my official acceptance because they asked to send me my grades with an official translation.
However, I registered to LSAC and UW School of law is a participant. I thought I could use the LSAC Report, but UW Graduate admission which contacted me told me that Graduate admission and School of law are two different entities and that Graduate admission is not a LSAC Participant.
It seems to be very complicate and I would like to know if some of you succedded to use their LSAC Report because it would really help me to save money.
Thank you for your answer.

Hello,

I was accepted to the LL.M. program at U.W. (Sustainable International Development Law), but have decided to attend the University of Virginia instead. I'm an American, and I earned my J.D. at U.W., its a great school and Seattle is an awesome city (one of the very best in the U.S.).

The LL.M. program at U.W. follows a complicated, two-step admissions process. The first step involves receiving an email from the Law School that declares that you've been accepted by the Law School. Next, you will eventually receive a letter from the U.W. Graduate School confirming their "acceptance" of your application.

The second step is really a formality, what actually matters is that the Law School has accepted you (*congratulations*). The Graduate School will simply follow the wishes of the Law School.

However, you will need to submit a signed copy of the graduate school application, TOEFL score report, and official copies of your transcripts (*translated into english*) directly to the U.W. Graduate School in order to comply with university policy. This is the same process that most graduate programs at U.W. have to follow. Here is a URL that explains the specific items that you'll need to submit directly to the U.W. Graduate School, follow the instructions for "international applicants" exactly as stated: (http://www.law.washington.edu/IPLaw/Admissions.html)

Good luck, you'll really enjoy U.W. and Seattle!

thank you "badkarma" for your answer. Actually, I know the process but it s a pain for me to have to pay again a certified translator for my french grades because I already did it through LSAC (I do not know if you know it ?). That's why I would like to use the report made by LSAC about my grades but it seems to be a "mess" because of this two step admissions. And that s why i want to know if somedy succceded to do it.

Very good. Don't let these perfunctory matters bother you, its just "the process." I hope that these issues are resolved for you soon.

I've recently heard from a law school friend that the weather has been shaky of late, but the summer will be beautiful. July, August and September are fantastic in Seattle!
