(I posted this on the UK forum too, but on second thoughts, it seemed like I could get some valuable inputs here too)
Hello,
I am interested in getting an LLM degree from one of the top LLM programs either in the US or the UK. I am currently in my JD program.
Is there any top LLM program in either US (HLS, Yale, Columbia etc) or UK (Oxbridge) that will accept new graduates? ( I really cannot imagine myself quitting my job after working for a couple of years to go and pursue an LLM degree). Also, for those of you who had experience applying to these programs with a JD from the US, what type of grades and class ranks did you have to present? (And is a Law Review a mandatory feature on the app?)

Ummmmm have you read any other posts on this board, this has been discussed many times before.
I am curious to know why you want to do an LLM though. Is it because you cant find a job or want to get a better job at a big firm? It is pretty much established that an LLM (aside from a tax LLM) will not do very much to improve your job prospects and thus from an economic standpoint I dont see the use in getting one unless you have lots of money to waste.
