I'm a colombian lawyer applying to 6 U.S schools to course an LLM on the fall 2009. One of the schools is University of Michigan and I would like to know what is the legth of both the statement of purpose and the personal statement. I can't find the requirements anywhere and i don't want it to be excesively long or fall short. Does anyone applying know how long it should be or does anyone already admitted or coursing their studies have a suggestion?

Hi I am applying to Michigan this year and I had the same doubt. I had written about this to Michigan and they had replied back saying that they had no stipulations. They said that the essays were about us and we should decide what we wanted to tell them about ourselves and therefore there are no page limits.
