I've never been to New York and I'm looking forward to be there this fall when I'll be starting my LLM in NYU. Please current and former students tell me the truth, is it better to choose the on campus or off campus housing?

I am neha from national law school, bangalore n planning to go to nyu this year as well. abt staying outside, i m still making my decision however taking into account the area, n the fact that gas, electricity and internet bills r included, dont u think it will b cheaper to stay within campus (atleast tahts what ppl i ve spoken to have told me). and yes finding a roomate is another problem:-0)
