Guys,
Since admission notices started to pop-up, I wonder if someone could help the applicants to estimate the living costs in the different US cities. I believe this is an important factor taken into account while deciding which university to attend. Moreover, from recent conversations with friends that lived (or are currently living) in the US show me that official universities budgets are not really trustworthy in some cases...
Thanks in advance!

Not trustworthy in what sense? Is it higher than what one would normally spend or lower? I certainly hope the latter is the case:)

You're right, the budget is an estimative, and usually the tuition vary +5% from one year to another. I would say that the estimated $60k year is more like $80k... I am an LLM applicant and also an MBA wife. We live in Chicago and our monthly expense is around $3500 (and I am a freak controller!), excluding tuition. I also can say that we live in a good location and in a nice apartment, but not in a high-end place. We have a good life here and we are able to have some extravagancies, but in the student-style!

Thank you very much for the post, LLM CAz. It is good to hear from people who are currently living the experience. Very helpful!
