Length of time for decision

NYU, which has had my application since October, still hasn't given me an admissions decision--even though it's been seven months. Anyone have an idea of when is typical (I am a US grad). They say it can take until June. But, in the meantime, several other schools are demanding decisions now, including one which requires me to remove all other applications from consideration if I pay a deposit. NYU, with their tardiness, is making it hard, Any advice on what to expect or how to proceed? Will pushing NYU for a decision only backfire?

Hey Davemag. I'm not sure what is going on, because I have not heard of anyone having to wait that long.

If you want to go to NYU, I would definitely recommend reaching out to them. If you are time pressured, you should probably do so by phone. Good luck!
