I have been fortunate enough to be admitted to both Columbia and NYU and need to make the decision where to go in the coming days. I am planning to do an LLM specialising in IP. I prefer the location of NYU to Columbia, but I have heard that the Columbia IP program is better than that at NYU. Is this true? If so, is that enough of a reason to go to Columbia than NYU if I prefer to be based downtown.

to be quite honest, i'm a little surprised that a 25 minute subway ride would make you turn down the offer of the higher ranked school with the (according to you) better program in the specialization you're looking for.

really, it's not *that* far, i don't think location should matter that much.
