Hi everyone, i have been reading and lurking this discussion board for some time now and, as I finally decided to apply to a LLm Program next year, I`d like to make some questions.
My Graduation GPA (considering there is somethig remotly similar here in Brazil) isn`t great (around 3.1 out of 4 at most). But I am about to obtain a master`s degree in Public Law and a MBA degree from the most respectfuladministration scholl in Brazil (at these my GPA rises to about 3.4, 3.5). Moreover, I have one book and a couple of articles published. I have not submitted to a Toefl test yet but I should expect something reasonable, I think. Besides, I am 28 and have some working experience at the "Law World".
Given this scenario, would you guys consider possible for me to apply successfully to LLm programs such as NYU, Columbia, Chicago, Northwestern or Georgetown?
Thank you a lot in advance for your responses and inputs.

Of course, you should try! It has been discussed many times on this forum - GPA is not a crucial factor for admission...

Thank you for your encouraging response V-2007. I'll try these ones and maybe a couple of two less difficult LLM Programs just to be sure.

I agree. You should go forward. You have good credentials. GPA is important, but it is not everything. I'm sure you have chances to be accepted at a good law school.
Cheers!
