Hi everyone.

I'm currently interning at a law office in the states doing criminal defense work. I'm a Uk law student with one year left on my LLB. I'd really like to take the New York bar exam and secure a job doing criminal defense work. I'd happily do low paid work in any area of New York with indigent clients. I'm in it more for the job satisfaction than the money! I'd happily work in a public defenders office etc.

Does ayone have any information/advice on my chances of getting such a job should I take and pass the NY bar exam? I'd happily work in a public defenders office etc.
