I went complete on Nov. 20. My status check changed to Decision on Dec. 4. My letter is dated Dec. 5.

The packet contained an acceptance letter, conditional letter about finishing my law degree, and a brochure for the program including a map of DC and forms for enrolling.

The deadline is April 1 with a $250 deposit due. Next deadline is May 1 with a $500 deposit due.

Open house is March 20.

Personally, between UF and GULC I prefer UF b/c of the weather. Even though people on taxtalent.com like to argue that Georgetown places better, I have no personal desire to be in DC or NYC after school. I want to stay in the south and hopefully Florida after school.

However, if I get into NYU I don't know what I'm going to do b/c I looked on martindale-hubbell and randomly picked Orlando.... there were more NYU llms in Orlando than UF.

So for now I'm planning on UF but I'm going to visit every school I get into and see if any scholarships work out before making a final decision.

I'm an int'l student. So, I'm still figuring out how these arguments are going to affect my equation. Certainly, the tuition cost bears a huge role....

Hey everyone. I'm a law student in CA and I just got my acceptance letter from GULC for the tax LLM.
I haven't heard from NYU and I'm on hold at UF-they want to see this semester's grade.

i have a few questions kstar- when did you go complete at UF and Gtown and how long after did you get responses? how did uf contact you and did they indicate the chances you will eventually get in?

I was complete @ G-town 11/17 (they sent me an email) and my packet was mailed 12/5. I didn't even know there was a status check site.

UF emailed me a letter on 11/21 saying they wanted to make a decision about my application after they received my grades. They didn't show any sign if they we leaning towards accepting me or not.

Personally, I'd rather go to G-town than UF b/c UF's program goes through the summer & I may be taking a second bar, not to mention I'm going into Estate Planning & I think G-town has the better program. But if I get into NYU, it will be a tough call.
