Does anybody know if at NYU or Columbia are very strict with TOEFL scores?
I called NYU today and told me that decisions will be notified by April 1.
How nervous are you ?

Berkeley: decisions will be made between March 15th and 30th. They will send emails and postmails. Financial decisions will be made later.
Most of Stanford decisions (LLM & SPILS) will be made by April 1st. What does it concretly mean? I don't know. They just try to reach you by any means : phone calls, emails and mails. Financial decisions will be made later.
I was not able to reach Chicago Law School (LLM) nor Kabul Law School.
Hope this helps,
c.
Just an update on Berkeley: Decisions have already been made. I was admitted yesterday (email). They want me to confirm my place no later than March 22. It's going to be a difficult choice...
Although I do check my emails quite often hoping to receive word from the LS I am still a lot more nervous when checking Sport results on the Internet. So I guess I'm in the low 10's on the Chang scale.

Today i have a terrible 70 on the Chang Scale because I cant keep wondering: what the F*** is Columbia doing wit my file ?!! A sort of ceremony, prayers or what ?!! Why cant they just notify me of their decisioooon .(no need to answer that one, i know)..Oh god..See how bad I am today...not good, not good.

All these people admitted in CLS, NYU, sometimes with huge scholarships (congrats BTW), and now HLS, (almost) no more spot available at SLS probably, and YLS decisions will be released very soon (but hey, is there, what, 5% chances?). I gotta admit, since I got no news from any LS, almost, that I felt a bit bad yesterday. A bad 75% i'd say. But i found a solution for the end of this week. I will work all day long, or just get involved in ANY activity, just to forget about it a li'l bit. If it will come, it will come, no matter how many hundred times I'll check my mailbox!
So, guys, I may read your posts (I'm just addicted to it), but only once a day! :-)
Good luck to y'all.
Kisses,
C.

As I am full time writing 2 papers since last week, my mailbox is open during the whole day, and every time I get a new email, I want to check it immediately... says enough, doesn't it?
I just got a minor heart attack! The Chang scale exploded right here in Switzerland!
When I saw the title and sender of the email my heart just stopped beating... I am accepted to my first choice university!
Hallelujah!

Congrats! May I ask which university is your first choice? Btw, I'm from Switzerland, too! :-)

Congrats! May I ask which university is your first choice? Btw, I'm from Switzerland, too! :-)
Thanks mate!
The divine university I am talking about is _Vanderbilt_
Unless I change opinion and go to ucla ;-)
I am studying right now at the Université de Fribourg.
You?
And where are you going to? Or still waiting for the answer of HLS?

I'm finish up in St. Gallen... Don't know where I'm headed yet, I'm still waiting for CLS and, of course, HLS and YLS. Right now I can already choose between 7 different schools, so I guess I mustn't complain. ;-)
Vanderbilt sounds like a great choice, congrats again!

Actually, I gotta say I was not as nervous as I first imagined. When I called HLS 2 weeks ago, I was not really nervous (I already guessed I suppose). Mmmm, well, it's good that this awful waiting time is over for (almost) everybody.
Everybody get down!
VVVVVvvvvvvvvv... 0%.
Over.

All,
I think its time to revive this post and adapt it to this year:)
First thing I do every morning when I wake up is to check the blackberry for any e-mails:) I would give myself a solid 50 for the time being on the chang scale, which I am sure will increase as time flies (no, crawls) by:)

I am very nervous as well. In the recent past I have recieved messages just when I was about to go to bed.
So, I have kept myself logged at every odd hour.

Really nervous. Specially because mail office messed up my appliaction and I had to re-send the letters of recommendation, which means ask it all over again. I think it blew up my chances to be accepted at CLS.

I am dead scared. I am a VERY average student and i am more or less certain that I wont be admitted anywhere- forget scholarship!!! anyway....lets c!!

sorry but you are worrying waaaaaay to early (if you are not applying to an early review program or a State University which accepts applications at a rolling basis) !!!!!!
This thread should be discussed the earliest in the beginning of March. The Universities won't make any decisions before that (I am talking about HLS, YLS, SLS, etc.) So just invest your time in reading a book rather then checking your emails a hundred times a day. Really, just relax, worrying and being nervous is not healthy at all and certainly not helpful to speed up your application process... you will just get an ulcer and then you wOn't be able to go to the US next year just because you were worrying to much. It will be all fine, you'll see...everyone will be accepted by one of those schools you applied to...and you will be having a great time in the US...BUT STOP IT! Stop worrying! Its not productive at all! :)) and definitly not american-like ;)

Ahahaha...well done MAP2009! That's what I was trying to say in another thread. Tough I wasn't so colorful in my description...:) I propose everyone that feels nervous to just forget about LLM-Guide and delete this word from your favourites' list..,at least until the end of February. MAP2009 is right, don't waste your time with this, u 've got to be more pragmatic, more american-like!:D
P.s: this shall be my last post here until admissions come out...please reproach me if you see it's not! :)
Best of luck to everyone.
