The reason I ask is that I'm in the middle of disputing several items on my personal credit report that are incorrect. Of course, I have also made some mistakes with a credit card or two as a student, and am currently trying to catch up on one in particular that I've been late on. I've been accepted to Georgetown's Tax LLM program, and really want to work in that field at a large firm after graduation. Is negative information like this on my personal credit going to hurt my chances? I don't have any judgements, liens, or bankruptcies or anything like that, but with these few mistakes and my HIGH amount of student debt (over $100K) my credit score isn't exactly great. Does anyone have any thoughts, ideas, advice, insight, etc?
