i am planing to take llm degree in international law or commercial law also in option in the US. how many schools i have to apply to get a high percentage of acceptance ??

The answer to your question really depends on how strong your credentials are (and obviously the types of schools that you want to apply to). Generally speaking, if your CV is amazing apply to 3 or 4. If your CV is decent, but won't stick out that much, apply to anything between 6 and 10.

Agreed. 6-10 seems to be about average. After 10, you have to ask yourself how good your application is going to be. Are you really going to be able to write a personalized essay explaining why each particular program suits you? Much better off being honest with yourself, being selective by researching a list of reach schools, probable schools and safety schools, and writing good quality applications. More time researching, thinking and writing. Less time mass-processing documents for a shopping cart of schools.
