Hey tweetypie, I think I can answer your question. LL.M. students could choose their advisors. In addition, this academic year Vanderbilt initiated another way to study in LL.M. program: students could decide whether they would like to do researches. A thesis is no longer a requirement. Kind regards,
How many LLMs does Vanderbilt accept every year?

Hi Keyif, I'm wondering if I did not write a professor's name in the application form, do you know when I will have the second chance to choose?

Well, so far as I know, after you enroll in, you may ask any professor with whom you would like to study whether he/she would direct your study. I asked this question to a current LL.M. student and she answered me like above.

Hi Undga, I'm afraid probably it was too late to apply for the program of this year. You may apply for the 2007-2008 year. JD is Juris Doctor while LLM is Master of Laws. Hope this will help.

Dear friend,
I have applied to Vanderbilt for LLM Fall 2008 and have received application complete about 10 days back.
Would be grateful to receive your answers to my following questins:--
i) Is there any telephone interview
ii) If so, what are the proposed questions
iii) How long they would take to decide the admission
Thanking you
Sincerely yours
Madhu

their decisions are on rolling basis; I completed the application process during November - December 07 but received the acceptance e-mail on March 31. there was no phone interview at least in my case; it is possible that decisions are taken considering profile of each candidate.
