You may have seen in various threads that several NYU admitted applicants inquired with HLS and asked for an early decision in order not to loose scholarship offered by NYU.
The answer from HLS to some of those suggested to wait till 22 March or accept the NYU offer. So far as I can tell from the posts the response did not clarify whether (i) the decision has been made and just it is against the HLS policy to release it early or (ii) the decision has not be made.
Today we have heard that HLS alegedly confirmed acceptance to an applicant raising the same NYU scholarship reason.
The questions is whether the HLS response (wait or accept) is (i) a polite rejection or (ii) an indication that the decision has not been made yet.
Any views based on actual knowledge of the situation?

Any views?
It would be interesting to know if anyone admitted to NYU who inquired with HLS has got a different/difinitive answer.
A friend of mine, out of the country on holidays at the moment and with no access to email, has asked me clarify this for him as he got exactly the same (wait or accept) message last week just before he left.
Dream holidays, I'd say... ;-)
So, please share if you learn anything. Thank you.

I would wager that it means the decision has not yet been made. I wouldn't read too much into what is being said on this message board - only a fraction of the people who have been in contact with HLS will post here, and there's the danger of attaching too much weight to emails from HLS that were written off the cuff. My advice to your friend: get in contact with HLS himself and get concrete information on his situation.

Thank you.
This is what I told him as well (to call them) but apparently he is not up to it at the moment.
