What was the significance of the 15th November date during the application process? Although the deadline was 1st December, applicants were strongly recommended to apply before 15th November. Does anyone know the particular reasons for this earlier date? Would your application be prejudiced in anyway for applying after the 15th November date but before the deadline?

not at all! most applicants send their application 3 days before December 1 with DHL or UPS. So don't worry.

My advice would be to forget about the application for the next few months (after confirming it's been received). You should look for the thread chronicling last year's drama arising from HLS "test emails."

I was told that the 15 Nov date was to ensure that all materials were received and that no pref. treatment are given to those. My guess is that since so many people send their applications just before 1 Dec that it was there way of unclogging the mail.
As to last year's thread, I was reading it, and it sounds like not that big of a deal to me. And anyway, the confirmation e-mail that they sent this year was very clear as to what's going on, so I guess I just wait till March.
(My application was already complete - I sent all my transcripts and recommendations with my application).

I actually called them the week before Nov 15 and asked if my application would be at all prejudiced if it arrived on Dec 1. They said: "not at all." I asked about the "stronly recommended Nov 15 deadline" and they said it was only for administrative efficiency.

I was told the same thing. It has no significance for the applicants whatsoever, it's only an adminstrative matter.

Hey Guys!
Thats true! Let us not be in dream world to think about admission results! We gonna surely get the offer this year without possible waiting list as last year!
In the meanwhile I have also got an unconditional offer from LSE for LL.M! Planning to apply for Schol's. Is anyone other who got LSE offer?
