Hi All,

I received a few admits from the below school, can you please rate which is best for the IP and post-LLM job market?

1. Harvard (expecting)
2. University of New Hampshire - Franklin Law School (Admitted)
3. Boston University (Admitted)
4. Duke University (Admitted)
5. George Washington University (Admitted)

I'm confused about which will be the best in class for Intellectual Property Law and which has a better opportunity in the US post-LLM?

Thank you!

Hi! Congratulations on being accepted!
Those are great universities!
I'm currently an LLM-IP student at UNH Franklin Pierce. Like you, I did a lot of research before submitting an application to UNH and other universities, and UNH was by far the best choice. It is super well known in the IP sector.
The small community makes you feel like you are in a family. The faculty and the staff are super helpful and guide you in every step of your journey. Every professor has a solid reputation in the industry and is very passionate about the subject that they teach. The dean is incredibly kind and close to the students. You won't find this degree of intimacy anywhere else, I can assure you!
The university often host IP seminars with outstanding speakers and fantastic networking opportunities.Concord, the city where the law school campus is located, is charming and affordable. It's only an hour away from Boston.
Regarding employment prospects following an LLM, I am aware of numerous former LLM students who have landed fantastic positions in the IP industry (one of them graduated last year and currently works for TikTok!).
The staff in the Career services department help you to find the best opportunities.
In my opinion, UNH is a hidden gem. I made the best decision of my life by coming here!
Best of luck on your decision!

Hello dear,
Thanks for seeking information for the best Intellectual Property School in the United States. I want to use this opportunity to share my experience studying for an LLM in Intellectual Property at the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law. I was a bit skeptical about coming and studying at this school especially when my background in law has been Criminal Law. However, I find this school to be precisely what I have been looking for in a law school. I am a Fulbright Scholar from Sierra Leone and I have practiced for 11years. The school has an array of strengths in the delivery of its courses. You will meet adjunct professors who are renowned practicing lawyers and who will expose you to academic as well as practical lectures and experience. As an LLM student, the last thing you would want in a course is to be taught the law without any practical experience. When practicing lawyers lecture, you have an advantage of being taught and exposed to recent activities around the subject. For instance, Trademark and Deceptive Practice is being taught by Tish Berard, an adjunct professor and a senior counsel at Velcro Companies one of the remarkable companies for Trademark in the United States. Whilst she taught the law, we were also exposed to contemporary Trademark issues.

Moreover, you will want to attend a school where you can meet and connect. The staff of the school are very polite and respectful and you can also find a lot of clubs that will suit your interest. The school is positioned right Opposite The White Park, one of the tourist sites of the school. There are lots of activities throughout the year and you will find it exciting to be part. Finally, the school has accommodation which is just a minute from the building and very much affordable. I encourage you to be part of the school.

Thank you.
Joan
