I can't believe there is still a month to go before we hear from HLS! Hating the waiting! Do any past or current applicants know whether it's worth letting HLS know if you are going to have an article published in quite a prestigious law journal?
I previously didn't have any publications and so couldn't put anything on my application form for this - but now it looks like my article will be published.
Also does anyone think that I should notify them that I've received other offers?
Would appreciate any advice on this issue.
Thanks.

This is interesting... I was interviewed live in a national tv channel about medical liability... should I send them an email about it? Or this is ridiculous?

One friend sent an email to HLS in early Dec. to the Office of Graduate Admissions in order to update some info (he received an important prize), and the email was not answered. Then, by mid December he called HLS and they said that although they are aware that during the 4 or 5 months between one sent the application and the acceptance/rejection notice many things could happen, it is not possible to update any information, except Toefl score.
I was reading my completion email and it state: We regret that we are unable to accept updated CVs/resumes, revisions to personal statements, or new recommendation letters
Harvard is very strict when it come to comply their rules. So, I will NOT send any new or updated info, since it will go against what they repeat in every email that they send. In addition, I think that, at least for HLS, one milestone will not make any difference at this point.

You are 100% right. But what about the other law schools?

I am in the same category. I just published a paper but I can't do nothing about telling Harvard - tough.

on the other hand, i told harvard that i will be the recipient of this year's nobel peace prize, because i have a good chance of being conferred this award. oh my god, i hope the nobel prize committee release the results soon, before harvard examines my application!!! they might think i lied. but i was telling nothing the whole truth, just in advance of the same.

Thanks for your comments. I know you are right and I'll just have to wait. If I'm not successful this year at least I'll be able to add it to my application next year (ad infinitum). Good luck to all of you, including the Nobel prize winner!
