pardon me, relative to Harvard?
Harvard Admissions Decisions 2010

imo it's much easier to get into Oxbridge relative to Yale, just because of applicant-place ratio. I think it's easier to get into HLS than Yale, too. Didn't apply to Yale as I thought I stood no chance.

Ack, sorry, posted before I saw the edit. I have no idea re Oxbridge-Harvard; all I know is there is some overlap in accepted applicants normally. But I have known people accepted for BCL and rejected by HLS.

It's 11.30 Boston time now, right?
Do we still think decisions might be out today?

Yeah, I'm worried that I'm not going to fall into that overlap! Oxford is great obviously, but I'd love Harvard. It's just ideal for me in terms of career etc.
Posted Mar 22, 2010 16:33
I'm really hoping that will be! I can't take this much longer! I've got exams in a few weeks!
Posted Mar 22, 2010 16:35
I think decisions could come later in the day, but who knows anymore...

@togatoga: Harvard is without a doubt a great place. However I don't believe Oxbridge is equally great.
I'd love HLS but I'm actually more interested in GULC. Not that I won't die of happiness if Im accepted at HLS.:)

Lol, yeah. Death by happiness would be my first reaction!
I agree with you re Oxbridge! Although there is scope for argument there! I've gathered from chatting to others on this same question that Oxford is considered on a par or better by many people in the UK.

I really hope Embark hasn't screwed everything up!

I think we can infer from the posts on this thread http://llm-guide.com/board/64034/1 and this thread http://llm-guide.com/board/51597/23 that HLS's decisions were communicated at around 7.00 or 8.00 PM "Harvard time" last year.

Has everyone else actually managed to pull themselves away from this! .... I'm clearly the most obsessive person here... :(

But you have 4 stars now!!!! hahaha.
My attempts to work today have failed. I hope I can become more responsible after lunch.

I am doing a rubbish (but mandatory) online training course about data protection compliance :( it is not really distracting me.

Most admission decisions for LL.M. applicants will be made by late March.
If you are facing a deadline for acceptance from another school, you may contact the Graduate Program office and we will do our best to give you an indication of your status where available. Once the decisions have been reached, you will be notified promptly and will be able to log in to a password-protected site to check whether you have been admitted, denied, or placed on a waiting list. Applicants on the waiting list may not know the final result of their applications until June or later. To protect the confidentiality of applications, we do not release any information on an application decision to anyone other than the applicant.

What do you mean? That the online training course doesn't distract you from obessively checking your inbox every five minutes? ;-)
Well, the only time I got mail from the Admissions Office, I received it around 5:15 pm GMT that day.
So I'll be waiting another 20 minutes, and afterwards I vow I'll work on the long overdue paper that I've been neglecting in favor of my e-mail client, embark and this place here...

Good stuff! Let me check what time I got an email from them the last time...
Posted Mar 22, 2010 18:10
Just my luck...our email server at work is having problems and hasn't updated since 14.46 GMT! haha, perhaps it is a subtle message to me to stop trying to check and just let what will be, be...
