I have been admitted as well
Although this is my first post on this discussion board, I have been following it all these months. Seeing I was not the only one going through this has been really supportive. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, guys; congratulations to all those admitted.

We made it but not because we are more intelligent or better than the others...just because we were lucky enough! REMEMBER THAT!!
I DO WISH YOU ALL THE BEST OF LUCK AND THE GREATEST SUCCESS IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE...make your law schools proud of having accepted you!

Massive congratulations to everybody who got in! You must all be delighted.
Unfortunately I didn't, but it is my first year applying and I will try again in future.
Just to clarify, is there any possibility of subsequent offers being made in the event of a number of people declining the Harvard LLM offers for other schools?
Also does anybody know if it would be acceptable, or even worthwhile, requesting feedback from my application to help in the future?

Congratulaions to all of you guys who made it. And for those who did not, and who are planning to give another try, do not hesitate. A lot of people succeeded on their second try, and just because you did not make it the first time, does not imply that those who did, had better credentials. Repackage your application, review your essays, and highlight the experience that makes u unique from the rest of the other applicants. While test scores, previous law school and class position weigh into decision making, Harvard is looking for something unique, because they already have an overabundace of smarties. For the lucky ones, let me be the first to welcome you here. There is no question in my mind that this is the best institution on the face of the earth. The quality of education, the richness of materials and accomplished professors - some of whom you can ony see on TV, will be here to teach you first hand. As you await your crimson binder (welcome package), start preparing for a year of intense coursework. Here there are only a few things you can do with your life from day one (read, eat, rest, read). There will be tons of activities for law students, but they will pale in comparison to your academic workload. As you still savor your acceptance, also start thinking about your concentration ( if you plan to concentrate), so that you can get in before it is filled. And classes fill quickly. And oh, please dont forget that here at harvard, LLM students take classes with JDs meaning everyone is assessed on the same level. But overall, its a beautiful place to be with many beautyful people ready to assist. Welcome folks to Harvard.

Got rejected. So dissappointing.

I got rejected too. It is disappointing, but I've admitted to my first choice: NYU. (:
As many people have said before me, your résumé may not be the problem: there are 180 spots for thousands of applicants, and they can't fit everybody in.

It is not a big deal to be accepted to Harvard. There are not that many applicants (I mean serious applicants). Further it depends heavily from which country you are applying. There is great competition in countries like India or China, however from other countries there is hardly any competition.
Also you should have a good idea why you are doing the LLM (and I am not talking about the crap you wrote in your application).
Anyway congratulations to those who are admitted. People told me I would have the best year here at Harvard and guess what they are all right. By far the best experience in my life!! be prepared for this experience!
