GULC - Status "Decision"

dcrocks

Hi,

Quite disappointed today. I got my decision (applied to the General LLM at GULC for Fall 2009) and it was a rejection. My TOEFL score is 114, worked as a Lawyer 6+ years in India, currently working in US as a Paralegal, & my grades were pretty good in LLB.

Any idea what their selection criteria is?

Thanks

S**t happens...at least you get to stay in the US. Some paras earn a lot as staff attorneys. Maybe not now with the economy. Sorry. Have you seen slumdog millionaire? That's a good one to cheer you up. Try it.

I think the sinking us job market has applications way up this year. 'Lots of lawyers who got laid off are waiting in out in LL.M programs until the economy gets better.

This greatly increases the competition. I think when the economy gets better you'll have a much better chance.
