Is it just as hard to get a legal job with only an LLM if you have a green card? Anyone know if it makes a difference or not? Someone commented on it earlier, and it makes me think that it might make the process slightly easier, but I don't know.

It has to make it easier IMHO. The law firm doesn't need to sponsor you or worry about you leaving after a year because your post LL.M work permit expired.
