Graduating and going straight into an LLM (+ Application Forms!)

elreymago

Hi everyone,

I am about to go into my final year studying Law at Oxford (undergrad), and am looking into LL.M.'s in the US. As far as I can tell, Harvard doesn't seem to have a problem with people coming straight off the back of their undergrad, but I've seen other places like Stanford and Columbia seem to favour a few years of work experience. A few questions:

1) Which other schools with good LL.M. courses don't mind this?
2) How important is it - would it be a deciding factor? I have done four internships with major law firms and should have a job offer by the time I apply - will that help?
3) Could anyone PM me the specific questions on Harvard's application form - the new ones don't become available for another month and I'd like to have a look in advance if possible.

Thanks for your help!

Personally, I know NYU doesn't seem to mind lack of work experience as well.

None of these require working experience. Michigan probably doesn't either.

Forgot UPenn. THey don't ask for working experience either.

Ofcourse all law schools PREFER people with working experience and Stanford and Columbia will also accept some people without working experience if they're good enough.
