Georgetown LLM starting Fall 2020

AggonPatll...

I applied on December 18, 2019.

Anyone applying through the Regular Action for Foreign-Trained Attorneys? :)

My application status has changed to "Current Status: Application Completed
Current Status Date: 1/3/2020".

According to Georgetown's website "Decisions are typically rendered within 6-10 weeks after your application is completed" :O

Good luck everyone!!!!

Oh yes. I am. I applied on the 29th of November and my current status date reads 12/13/2019. When did you apply?

Hi everyone! According to the instructions I read online, the Registrar Certification was not required for applications. However it is marked on the online status checker as a requirement. Mine is not checked off BUT my application is marked as completed. ?? Is this normal?

If you are a foreign lawyer applying via LSAC and purchased the international transcript evaluation, registrar certification is not required:

"If you are an internationally-educated student, we strongly encourage you to register for LSAC's International Transcript Authentication and Evaluation Service (additional charge). LSAC will authenticate and evaluate your transcripts through this service. You do not need to complete the Registrar’s Certification Form if you use this service."

I was in the same situation as a foreign law graduate. I had only gotten the registrar certification for my law degree and my application was marked complete. However I later noticed that my undergrad degree was not checked off on the online status checker and emailed Georgetown which informed that I should also get the registrar certification for my other (non-law) degrees.

I had the same issue and I emailed them. They said as long as you applied through LSAC using their international evaluation services, the certification of registrar is not necessary. It's just because of the system that it stays unchecked. If your status is marked complete then you should be good!

Hey guys,

Understood. I believe my issue arose because I didn’t pay for the international evaluation services so needed to get the registrar certification instead.

Hello! I would be interested to know if anyone has received an acceptance yet for LLM at Georgetown, Fall 2020. Thank you!

Does anyone know if there is a Facebook page or some other means of meeting accepted students apart from the accepted students open house in March? I won't be able to attend due to a scheduling conflict.

Yes! Via email. The email doesn't mention the specific LL.M I applied for and doesn't have information about any financial aid.
