Has anyone been admitted to sit the NY Bar with a GDL+LLB top-up at London Met or University of Law?

The duration requirements would suggest this might not be viable but I think there are arguments to say 1 year GLD+LPC+top-up is equivalent to the same programme in the US.

I know understand this should not be possible for the NY bar but that I could sit the California bar. 

I focus on derivatives/structured product and the bank where I work as a NY office. Would I be able to practice in-house either at my bank or to apply for in-house roles with the California bar?
