Im from Mexico and I received a fulbright grant. I applied to Yale, U-Penn, Virginia and Georgetown. I was told that fulbright applications are processed separately and therefore the acceptance letters come at a later time than those send to other international students. Anyone knows if that is true? Does a fulbright grant really gives you an advantage over other students in getting to these universities? Thanks for your comments

Hi,
I've heard that fulbright students are appreciate in US cos' they are the result of J Fubright agreement with each country and because only the best students of each country can get it you will be appreciate by the University staff and people in general,
and yes there is an advantage you only have to pay half tuition and often no tuition......
regards

If it helps atleast half the Yale class this year is on Fulbright. Now it might mean that they give preference to Fulbright scholars or that Fulbright and Yale have similiar criterions.
