Hey Boys & Girls
Just a friendly shout out to all US LLM admitted candidates.
I tought it be interesting to see where everyone is going.
I also like to start a poll on the most popular LLM program out of the following law schools (not the LLM you're attending, but the one you'd like to attend):
Chicago; UPenn; Berkeley; NYU; Duke; Virginia; Northwestern; Michigan; Cornell
I did not include Yale/HLS/SLS/Columbia in the poll because they're in a league of their own in the top 10 and will pretty much ruin the point of this poll. But feel free to choose one of these 4 on top of the others above.
Personally: I'm going to UPenn because of the whole IVY thing. The decision was tough, but my prestige whoreness got the better of me. But if I could, I'd go to HLS....Duhhh...

speaking of Ivy league, Cornell is also one of them, so why not Cornell? then again, ivy is just a (not so good) football league, Michigan, Cal, NU or even Duke would kick every ivy leaguer's a$$ without even trying...in football that is:)
well, i guess that's just some way to make people like me who couldn't get into ivy feel a little better:p
anyway, i believe Penn is a great decision and i'd probably do the same if i had so many choices..cheers

I'm almost certainly headed to the University of Virginia. I was also accepted by the University of Washington, and really enjoy Seattle, but U.W. is also my J.D. alma mater.
I've been advised by a few people that attending a different school for my LL.M. was a good idea.
In terms of popularity, it seems that many of the members here are really attracted to NYU, Georgetown and Berkeley (all of which are fine schools).

I chose NYU over Penn and some other great schools. But I would have loved to go to Berkeley, although I never applied there as I had to stay put on the east coast due to personal reasons.
I understand Berkeley and Penn to be very progressive LLM schools and for whatever its worth- the rankings reflect that this year!
Good luck to all at Berkeley. Hapy Califorrnicaion!
