Dear all,
the application deadlines are hanging like the sword of Damoclos over my head...My motivation to research seems to be quite a bit exhausted these days. Now, my question is: Can anyone give me (and other interested readers on the board) a short overview over the "US top 10 Law Schools" and their essay requirements?
Thanks a lot!

Most law schools don't really have specific essay requirements. They generally require a personal statement explaining your skills / interests / background etc and why you want to pursue the ll.m Some (Iike Harvard and NYU) would also want a short piece of writing on a current legal issue and how you would resolve it. My suggestion for this would be to take a piece of writing you've already done (which has been marked or commented upon by a professor) and edit it to meet the law school's requirements rather than starting afresh. Best of luck!

Hi there,
Personal statement has been my big time headache. If I am going to apply to 7 or 8 law schools, do I need to craft 7 or 8 statement of purpose for each law schools? This is really formidable, that consumes your time and energy, especially with the dead line around the corner.
Can any one give me poinnts as to how I can show I am one of the strongest applicant?
I have been here in the US for four years and now working for a patent law firm as a litigation paralegal. My plan after my llm is to stay here and take the bar exam. What should I say in my statement of purpose as to my carrier goal? Please I need your input. And nriattorney, can you send me your essay too? Many thanks.
