Hi everyone,
I'd like to know if there is a big difference between an early-applicant and a regular-applicant? Is the former much more advantageous?
I haven't graduated from school yet, that's why i prefer waiting a little bit more and apply in December or January depending on the school.
Do you have any idea about this process?
Thanks a lot!!

there is an advantage. your file will be the first reviewed. think of the 'early bird catched the worm' and the 'first come first served' concepts.

i see, thank you for your reply.. I just have concerns about the fact that i wont be able to submit my grades of this term if I apply earlier, since I'm still a student. And i feel like my transcript will be much better at the end of this semestre.. (because i'm studying in Netherlands this semestre and it's much easier than my home university) I don't know which one to choose, to apply earlier or to wait for better grades:)

From my own experience with UK universities I know that you will receive a conditional offer if you cannot provide your final grades yet. I have not heard of US Law Schools making conditional offers, except for language requirements or finances.

According to what SCHORSCH wrote in this thread, there are at least some US law schools that admit student even before knowing their final results:

"I will graduate this summer and have been admitted to a couple of pretty good schools even without them knowing my final grades."
I remember SCHORSCH got offers from Penn and Duke.

I submitted my applications on the very last day of each school's application period and I am now at Stanford. So, if I share the belief that there may be some advantage to apply early, it surely does not prevent you being admitted in a top school if you apply late.
best of luck.
best of luck.

Thanks a lot Russ and Black!
I already had concerns about applying as a student, without having any work experience (expect short-time internships).
I think I will consider applying as a regular applicant, since I am on exchange in Netherlands and here it's much easier to get higher grades:)
