Early Admission for German students before the state examination

Hi,

I would like to gain a LL.M. in the US or another Anglo-Saxon country. I prefer a high-ranked good university. I know that these colleges have high standards of admission for German students (I heard about Cambridge requiring 11.5 points in the state examintation for admission to the LL.M.)

Because of that, I'm thinking about attending a LL.M.-program before my state examination. Does anyone know if that is possible somewhere? I think Exeter offers such an opportunity.

Thanks a lot!

Further explaining:

The idea is that I want to do an LL.M. anyway and my chances for a college place at a very good university are rising when I apply with the Zwischenprüfungszeugnis (intermediate exam certificate). The grades for the Zwischenprüfung are easier to obtain than the ones for the Staatsexamen, at least in my college in Germany. But that implies that good, high-ranked universities accept the Zwischenprüfung as admission.

In my oppinion (and I am German, too), no chances. They know very well about our system and that the only grade that does count is the staatsexamen. English universities will give you a conditional offer of a state examination grade which you will have to turn in before enrolling. Some US universities will only start making decisions on your file after you have completed all exams (such as Columbia, NYU), others will look at your file before but require that you pass the staatsexamen before june or something. furthermore for most english universities I did not even send my intermediate exam certificate, because nobody cares....

and in other terms...do you really care to be "butchered" by highly trained lawyers from all over the world. trust me no matter how good your intermediate exam certificate is...you are very likely to stand a chances against a german lawyer who has a staatsexamen as low as 8.

sorry!
