So, having been unable to reach anyone at the office, I sent an email with questions at 4:00 PM EST yesterday. At 9:00 AM today, I was rejected. SO FRUSTRATING.

Today I received an email telling me that I am the right fit for the Certificate on Environmental Law (to which I am applying) but they wanted to know if my firm can fund my studies (I also asked for a scholarship).

I think that the message was 'we would be glad to accept you but maybe we don't have funds for the scholarship you want'

What do you think about this?

My deadline is on friday and I am almost decided to enroll. How about you?

I have to decide before mid of march. However, 99 percent I am going to accept duke's admission offer.

I have just sent an email asking for an extension from Duke, since I will wait for other schools' decisions.

I hope they will grant me an extension.

Thanks a million! I'm not sure if they offer full tuition scholarships. I remember before they told me, they described their scholarships were quite limited. That being said, they were pretty generous to me, and if I end up not taking it, they would have it to spare!

I didn't request anything in my actual application to be honest. It was only when I was accepted that I requested information about scholarships. I stressed to them that I am not eligible for several Irish scholarships because I would like to practice in the US and not return to Ireland (most scholarships make you return to Ireland for at least two years) and also that my government can't afford to give me money! I was offered $12,000, which was pretty substantial since I didn't ask for anything initially!
