they mailed me sayin I wont be gettin any scholarships.. so I sent em another mail askin them bout any kinda financial aid..they are yet to reply.. wat's ur scene like...

That's strange. I live in Raleigh, NC in US but originally from Kenya. I have not heard any communication from them regarding scholarships. They said decisions would be from April! What kind of law are u interested in and what are your plans after the LLM?

they said unfortunately we will not be able to give u any scholarship.I don think i added any scholarship request with my application.I'm guessin tat was the problem.. did u do that? ur talkin bout the shcolarship decisions comin out in april right? I have heard that Duke does not really offer too many scholarships.. I cud be wrong though. I want to specialise in corporate law. wat bout u? U did ur JD in the US?

Thanks for the prompt reply.I added the scholarship application specifically with my package. Then they said to wait till April for the decisions. I hope i am luckier. I hold an LLB degree and yes, I am also planning on corporate law. We have not less that 6 units to take, so I think i will also take a class in International law just for the record. Do u plan on working here after your LLM?

yea i was kinda stupid not to send the scholarship letter along with the application.. feel miserable now since i got to shell out 60,000$ or even more.. i guess we have to get 21 credits all in all right? u fresh outta law school or got any work ex?
