Which US uni's defer entry? In particular, i was wondering if Harvard, NYU and Yale allow you to defer entry? If anyone knows, that would be great.

this is from memory, so pls cross check if poss...
i remember clearly from the Yale website, that they due not offer deferrals, due to their small class size...
i know harvard does, because a friend is doing that...
not sure about nyu, though i think it does too...
also, one would have to find out what their deferral policy was, i.e. whether they defer as a matter of course, or whether u have to show good reason, and also have impressed them sufficiently for them to really want u...
if anyone else knows more precisely?

Thanks for your help - that is very useful. It would be interesting to know if they defer as a matter of course or if you have to give a special reason (and how good that special reason has to be) if anyone knows the answer to this?

mon ami
you sure can defer ur admission to nyu. i have been there, i have done that. was admited last year, defer to this year. of cos you ve got to give a reason for requesting for the deferral. afterall u re asking for an indulgence.
does that help?

Thanks for your reply. That is very helpful. Is not having enough money to go a good enough reason? I was just worried that if I don't get financial aid I won't be able to afford it but could reapply for aid and scholarships etc next year.
