Courier Service for applications to the US

Which courier service do you suggest I choose to send my application materials. I sent my applications to Harvard and Yale through FedEX on Wednesday, they told me that they would arrive by Friday and they are still somewhere in Paris! No one from the company can explain what has happened to my applications! Crappy FedEX! What service do you suggest I choose the next time? DHL/UPS? Definitely not FedeX, they are the worst!

Personally I have learned not to trust the shipment tracking service on the Internet as it is not always accurate. After I had sent my applications to Harvard and Yale last year via DHL, I regularly followed the route of both on the Web. There were absolutely no problems with the Harvard application, but the one addressed to Yale "disappeared" for two days (its status on the Web did not change). When I called the DHL consumer service I was told that the Yale package did not pass US customs control and was on its way back to Europe. However, only ten minutes later I received an email from DHL confirming that the application had just been delivered in New Haven.

I have sent all my application materials (excepting Harvard) via DHL. So far the documents reached their destination as scheduled.
