Northwestern is a better law school in any ranking

Northwestern... for sure!

with all due respect for these schools, being currently enrolled in the latter and admitted to the former, neither of those... go to Berkeley or (lower ranked but excellent in IP) GW

Stagista, can I ask why you hold this view about Cornell and Northwestern? How has your Northwestern experience been so far?

Cornell is Ivy League, great overall brand to spend upon retorning in your home country, but -as far as I know- is surely good but not top-notch in IP. For Northwestern I can be more specific, since I'm a current student thereof. Everebody is here to study corporate law, M&A, business administration and so on. If you're not focusing on the latter subjects, Northwestern may not be your first choice. Unless you have been granted a fatty scholarship, a LL.M is extremely costy, and you don't want to waste your money in a back-up plan. All that said, if you want to study IP, my advise is for you to insist in those schools which offer a strong IP program
