i think it depends on your area of intrest and which college offers a better program. I got into Columbia and NYU in the International Legal Studies program and i've been advised to go to NYU because its international law program is ranked the highest in America even thought over all, columbia is ranked 4rth and nyu 5th.

I would go with the school which gives me the maximum money.. I have been admitted to both .... Cornell is considering me for a fellowship. and both schools have a good corporate law program

i think that ouside Ameriva an Ivy League has morerecognition but if you'r re planning to stay and work in America then i dont think it would make a difference. I was deciding between Colmbia and NYU and someone at Columia...someon from the faculty said it temseleve that NYU graduates are beating Columbia graduates in the job market since the past couple of years...but i wudnt know about Cornell. You cant go wrong either way

I'm a Cornell LL.M. grad.
As long as you go to a school that is renowned in your home country your choice doesn't really make a difference. The rest is only a matter of preference. Do you want to live in a big city or on a campus? Is cost an issue for you? Would you rather know your classmates or make friends outside of the school... Anyway when it comes to finding a job you are better off going to an NYC school. However, unless you have prior experience with a US law firm in your home country and a very good english it is highly probable that you won't get any offers...
If you have any questions feel free to ask...

Tough call, but I agree with Olaf. A lot will depend on whether you want to stay here or return home. Both are excellent programs. The "ivy league" difference probably wont make be a big deal in the US, as the schools are ranked so closely. Personally, I think NYC is the decision breaker, all things being equal. For a foreigner (or anyone really) living in NYC is a GREAT experience. ALSO, if interested, you have a better chance at getting an internship in NYC (as many more firms/govt agencies here).
