Vin181991 Cornell is obviously a better option.
Did anyone who's application was complete on the 16th of April get a result? Mine was complete on the 16th of April but the date on my app status changed to 17th of April. Still no result

Hi guys !! I have been offered a seat by NUS to its LLM(International Business Law) program and I have also received an offer from Cornell Law School. I am facing a tough time deciding which one would be a better choice.. Kindly guide me
I think NUS might be a better option if you're interested in pursuing business law (has a tie up with NYU as well). In the US, UPenn is better known for its bus law courses. Cornell on the other hand scores higher on small classes, and a compact general LLM that gives you the freedom to choose your credits. Its known to have a strong advocacy program.
Good luck!

Thanks NigerianLLMuser for your opinion. However, I still wish if someone could provide me with a detailed comparison between these two universities as NUS singapore ranks better than Cornell Law School in world ranking but on the other hand Cornell is an Ivy league school which certainly takes the game in favor of Cornell.
Also, if anyone is in the same situation as me then please let me know.
Thanks

Thanks a lot Kutty for your view but NUS no longer has tie up with NYU. I have got into LLM (International Business Law) program at NUS and half of the year I will be spending in Shanghai at East China University of Political Science and Law so, what do you think would be a better pick between NUS Singapore and Cornell Law School?

My status still shows "materials verifying for completion"....Is it normal or should i give them a call and ask?

Phoenix123, when did you apply?
I applied on the deadine day and I just received the email saying my application completed yesterday.
Anyone knows how long after receiving this email we could possibly receive the decision?

It was 5 days in my case. The status page will contain the decision after which, they will e-mail you.

My status has not changed from "verifying materials for completion" from the start. Anybody else in the same boat??
today itself i got a mail saying that my application is complete and is ready for review.
I got the same e-mail! Did you apply late in the application cycle?
Would you mind sharing some of your credentials?
Fingers crossed!
I also got that email yesterday.
My credentials:
I graduated from England (United Kingdom) in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (got a 2.1). I've been in legal practice in Nigeria since and I also write Articles for an International Think Tank Organisation based in New York. I have taken part in many community development work in Nigeria. I'm also a semi pro athlete.
Hope we hear from them soon
Could you share with us which university and/or what kind of 2:1 you received? I suppose low (60-63), mid (63-66) or high (67-69) would suffice. Else, if you're willing to PM me, that would be greatly appreciated.

I did not apply through LSAC but a paper based application. I too applied on the last day i.e. 31st of Jan. I will probably call them up today.

Middle ranked university in London. Mid 2.1 (total average of 63 but 67 in third year). I have Vanderbilt and SOAS (London) LLM admission this year. Also have Emory with scholarship from last year. Not sure if I'm good enough for Cornell but even if I get in, I may end up going to Vanderbilt (due to lower tuition fees and zero living cost because I family members in Nashville).

Hi guys!! Is there any facebook group for the Class of 2014-2015????
Posted Apr 28, 2014 19:33
Has anyone heard from (or heard back from) the admissions committee?
Posted Apr 28, 2014 22:13
Been placed on a waitlist :(
So determined to gain admission to Cornell
Any suggestion as to what to do?
Do waitlisted applicants stand a chance?

Still no news, application still complete but no final decision. Don't know if this is a good or bad sign.
Posted Apr 29, 2014 04:31
It could be a good sign. You only have 2 more days to wait
Good luck!

Still no news from Cornell. It looks like some candidates, including myself, will receive their decision in May although their website states that all decisions would be released in April. Well, the waiting game will last a little longer...

haha woops thanks for the heads up! I'll let you know if I see the right group in the future! I'm currently cracking with dissertation and exams and will be this overloaded this whole month, so I haven't really had much time to look at any information for my move to Ithaca in the fall!
Thanks again

I was admited last thursday but I think I will decline their offer since didn't receive any scholarship and Cornell's program is very expensive.
