Cornell has just reverted that they will have a decision for me soon!
Hopefully I will get a positive decision next week! Cornell's admission is so complex I can't figure out how it works lol

Hey,
A couple of questions
1. Has anyone received a rejection from Cornell by post?
(All the posts mention acceptances and waitlists so I was wondering whether you think Cornell would issue rejections by regular mail also?)
2. Do you think Cornell would most likely issue rejections now or wait until all the acceptances/waitlists have been sorted out?
3. Anyone who has received their acceptance letter - how long did it take for you to receive the letter after the application status changed to 'decision?'
Thanks

Hi Bayern,
I called the number listed on the website (607-255-5141) and spoke to the first person who answered the phone (secretary, admin asst?). I let them know that my status turned into "decision" and would like to hear it over the phone. They will verify some of ur info and then will kindly tell you the answer. Their admission people are very nice, so if you want to know the decision asap, dont worry and call them up. Good luck!!

Praew, thanks for your reply. You are the first person who replied to my begging :-) I guess it is the lack of info that leave people unresponsive.

Is there anybody's status changed to decision on April 8?? Any news?
Posted Apr 13, 2009 09:32
Thanks for your reply LLM_09-10. I may give them a call, although a part of me would rather receive the decision in a letter!
Just out of interest...when did your status change to 'decision?'

Hi benz6, since so many people are getting their decisions these days (at least I know 4 from my country whose status were changed to decision on Apr. 6), I am kind of worried that cornell has started its rejection process....what do you think?
Hey,
A couple of questions
1. Has anyone received a rejection from Cornell by post?

2. Do you think Cornell would most likely issue rejections now or wait until all the acceptances/waitlists have been sorted out?
3. Anyone who has received their acceptance letter - how long did it take for you to receive the letter after the application status changed to 'decision?'
Thanks

hi bebrave,
What country are you from if you don't mind me asking? I do not know many people here who have applied to Cornell, which is why I cannot gauge whether the rejections are now being sent out. Since I have not heard of anyone speaking of rejections from Cornell, I do not know whether Cornell adopts a policy of issuing out rejections right at the end (after all the acceptances have been made) or alternatively whether rejections are issued out with acceptances on a rolling basis. I have however heard from a few people who have received letters recently asking if they wish to be considered on the waiting list.
So my personal thoughts are that either this is part of a second wave of acceptances or alternatively, the acceptances have been finalised and the rejections are being sent out.
