I seriously consider attending Cornell, because:
- It is better known than several higher ranked Law Schools in my Country
- I was offered very generous financial aid.
- I think I could like the countryside-setting, since I am myself from a big city... so that would be something new finally.

Who is seriously considering attending Cornell here? And why?
I do. My reasons are the followings:
- Small class
- International recognition regarding International Law (Pr. Barcelo)
- Cornell community
- Campus
- Possibility to enroll in other faculty (e.g. African American Institute)
- Ivy League cache
But, I will consider other schools, do the pros and cons, but Cornell is one of my favorite!
And about you folks?

I agree. But what if you were accepted by Harvard? would you go to Cornell?

I totally agree. I am asking because I am kinda in love with everything about Cornell:
1) It is the only Ivy league Law school with a beautiful campus surrounded by nature. (kinda reminds me of Cambridge's campus)
2) Carl Sagan was a professor there. *I know we study Law, but I love Cosmology as well*:)
3) I think the small classes and the close-knit community make Cornell a better option for students who want to pursue JSD after the LLM. As you get the chance to build close relationships with professors.
4) I agree with the rest of the reasons you guys provided.

Hi everyone!
Just a quick question: application went complete on 1/5, and then my status changed on 1/9. For those admitted, how long did it take, after your status changed, to get a response?
Thank you!

Hey, I just received my admission e-mail! My application was complete on Jan 3, and status changed on Jan 9.
I did not receive any financial aid offer, but rather a partial tuition waver. Did anyone else receive this?
Best,

Congratulations on the admission and on the waiver! My app was complete on 1/3 and status change on 1/10. Wonder if I havent heard anything means a rejection is on its way.

Hey, it took Cornell over a week to contact me, and it is taking over a week to contact you; nothing out of the ordinary, don't jump to any conclusions just yet.
Best of luck!

However, I have not received an admission or rejection.
Does that mean I am not going to get the admission from Cornell. It has been alsmost two weeks......

Guys, I received an acceptance from Cornell. And for the reasons others have before me, it is a school with a storied history and pedigree. So I am very happy.
I also wish all the best to others who are waiting. Keep the faith and good news may come!

Thank you Semosso! And to you too!
On the topic of the cost of a Cornell LLM, I checked from the respective websites of Upenn, Cornell, NYU and Columbia that their costs are comparable (let's ignore the scholarship and fin aid angle) but Cornell's high tuition fee seems to be pointed out often. I was wondering whether the fact that (1) all the aforementioned schools cost more or less the same and (2) Cornell being located in a college town versus NYU and Columbia (NYC); means that the argument of a "high" cost of a Cornell LLM is perhaps unwarranted. Any perspectives would be welcome :)
In fact, in history and prestige, Cornell would match the other schools I mentioned, I would assume. Also, the JD program law school rankings may serve as a proxy for the LLM program for a rough approximation of what the school is all about but the LLM program isnt a like for like substitute for a JD. Just to add some colour to my point about costs.
