Thank you for the update, SpaTherapy! Do you happen to know what could be the reasons for the rejections? Any guess?

I applied in mid-December and received a very terse rejection via email yesterday (1/30). How gauche.

Has anyone been admitted yet? If so, was it via email or regular mail?

Im still waiting too...I have this bad feeling about it, because they ask for this one year of professionnal experience, like a real professional experience, no internships or anything...as I dont have that...Im afraid Ill be rejected...
Do you all fulfil this requirement of a one year professionnal experience?
Waiting & Waiting ...gosh

I'm still waiting, too. Lucinda: although Columbia web pages seem to depict one-year experience as an almost indespensable requisite, in my opinion they are much more flexible when making their admission decisions. I don't think that qualified applicants are actually turned down to make room for less qualified but experienced lawyers
Let's hope for the best!

Hey Dam...i Hope you right ... Its just taking so much time to get an answer...its so stressful, I guess you understand what Im talking about.
Best luck to u 2!

Dam is absolutely correct. I really don't know why they even bother listing it as an essential requirement. I was admitted last year and I did not have any professional experience to speak of apart from some internships. If you are what they want they will take you. Nothing is set in stone regarding requirements apart from the fact that you must have a law degree. Hope everything goes well for you.

Lucinda: you can bet I know what you mean. I'm still waiting for 10 answers from American law schools, and I think that at least 2 or 3 will arrive by the end of this month. I shiver every time I open my e-mail account.

OMG Dam, feels so good to talk to someone who understands what you talking about.
I have the same feeling, Im thinking more about it those days, dont really know why. Its just the way it is...
Irishguy, thanks for sharing your experience, you right when you say if they really want someone, they take it, professionnal experience or not ... I'll let you know !
